We were hoping to find Sandhill Cranes on our hike around Ottawa Wildlife Refuge and we found them! We counted approximately 50 scattered around the refuge. Only found 2 American White Pelicans 🦉

burrowing owls are small small mostly terrestrial owls found across a lot of southern united states. we have some in california - but building cities are killing them off. this one with its huge yellow eyes was in florida.

Marielle and I went into Splurge Boutique on the way home and found out one of the staff that worked there hid this purse specifically for me when it came in 3 weeks ago. The strap is still a little sad from storage crumple, but I’m now the owner of a gingerbread house purse.

Also, my wife walks past a duck pond on her way to work and feeds the ducks meal worms. There’s a Great Blue Heron that occasionally visits the pond. We got really good video of the heron and the ducks one day.

I saw one today at the barn! Just after this I had to move my car and as I was driving he was on the ground just about ten feet from me! So beautiful! I was going slowly but it spooked him and I got to watch him fly off.
