A Eurasian Robin sits on the edge of a blue glazed terracotta garden pot in front of another green one in which small shoots of Spring bulbs can be seen emerging. The Robin, who we have named Roberto, for he sings like an Italian opera star, is facing left, his tail dipping down towards the soil inside the pot, planted with Tulips. His bright grey under plumage glows in the morning light but is outshone by the orange/red glow of his chest feathers that make Robins such a treasured part of British gardens in winter. You can see lots of seagulls standing in the shallow water looking for food. They are reflected in the water. There are a few pieces of wood in the water with birds standing on them. The photo was taken on an overcast day, so the water surface looks very grey.
