I had to fetch some documents, and this was my first trip into St Paul. I'd grown up in Minneapolis and never been there. The architecture is astounding! I quickly grew to love that city, and I miss it.

I knew the country had parts that were flat, areas without trees, and redwoods and canyons that were big, but I didn't understand what flat, treeless, or big was until I drove through it for days at a time.

We have no guidelines about wearing clothes, but most of us do so because it gets chilly in the caves. We're strict relationship anarchists and people in relationships swap sleeping partners based on emotional need. We have a pair of bonded gauranlen trees and a grizzly bear named Allegra.

It was really packed last night at the gallery. There were a lot of really good painters there. These two are by Jon Erickson, a super gifted plein air painter. He was also one of the organizers for it.

Among Carton House’s many charms are some amazing exotic trees imported by one of the dukes, including these spectacular Atlas Cedars. They’re BIG, so all my previous attempts to capture their silver needles and nice cones have failed, but the 8x telephoto on the iPhone 17 Pro Max nailed it!
