Upset that some of his share went elsewhere?

LDs every time. Polanski will be the recipient of a massive attack from Labour for the next few years.

That's part of the insanity of Brexit. People who don't have much actually voted to have even less. Chose to remove their own opportunities and freedoms, and got nothing in return other than higher bills.

I know one wealthy guy who voted for it. Worked for a US firm, paid in $, hoped £ would crash

Funny how I only ever hear stories about the EU entry scheme, not the UK equivalent...

According to media reports, Labour are about to engage on a mad attempt to blame future tax rises on "Farage's Brexit" having caused more damage than expected.

Several gaping flaws:
- "Make Brexit Work"
- Constant Brexit red lines reinforcement
- 14 years of the TORIES in power
- Flatters Reform

UK travellers should expect "four-hour queues" as new EU border system comes into force. Brexit really is the gift that keeps giving

This is, unfortunately true.

Nothing has changed for the better since Brexit.

Brexit absolutely and irrevocably fucked everything I've spent my life working towards, so excuse me for not considering ever voting for any Brexit supporting party.

Tell them there's an extra free lunch in parliament and they'll rock up.

Then nail the doors shut with 'em all in there.

Restart with a fresh election and a new parliament in Liverpool.

Never open the doors to Westminster again.

Farage has given up the pretence that he barely knew Nathan Gill. He can't do otherwise, given the flood of evidence to the contrary.

Here is Gill saying he's just come from having lunch with Farage on the day that Farage resigned as UKIP leader 4 July 2016?

Richard Tice - "Please welcome to the stage... Nathan Gill"

So much for Tice's claim to have never met Nathan Gill.

Imagine being a pro-EU Labour apologist feeling that you have to spread these lies. Voting against what you know is the best course of action because you can't bring yourself to not vote Labour.

Wanting to rejoin the EU, but feeling that you must vote for a party expressly against exactly that...

I don't think we are in the minority.

I think we need a government honest enough to spell out the benefits of FoM.

We don't have that government.
fastcarspete.bsky.social
Freedom of Movement would be incredibly popular with me.

Me, and the thousands of UK businesses losing untold amounts of money due to Brexit.

FoM isn't only people, it's services and trade as well.

They've always got excuses as to why Labour can't do the right thing. They've been at this for almost a decade and their excuses haven't improved.

"People need to suffer before Brexit can be reversed" was the polar opposite of their usual "Labour will fix everything" spiel yet they try that one.

The current government blatantly lying about "Making Brexit Work" doesn't really strike me as functioning democracy.

It's taken 9 years to admit that Brexit is costing a fortune, and they've still got red lines against repairing the damage.

I'll never vote or support any of the Brexit parties.

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia.

Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?
Nigel Farage on Russia Today.

I know it was 1990, but can't remember the promoter's name.

Met him a couple of times as well.

I just love that she ended up playing there simply because he was an Ipswich lad and wanted TT to play his local venue.

I was working for a firm that sold doors a few years ago. As the Brexit deadline loomed I suggested to the owner that he checked he'd still be able to get stock after 31/12/2020 and Brexit.

He told me I was being rude and should trust the suppliers "they'll be fine".

Needless to say, it wasn't.
