I see Morgan McSweeney is still modelling himself on Dominic Cummings

At this rate, Keir Starmer will become the Boris Johnson of the Labour Party

Great to see some renewed interest in Nigel Farage’s sumptuous lunches

How about this one when he launched a European Revolution with Steve Bannon, who was being backed by Jeffery Epstein all the time bylinetimes.com/2025/11/19/d...
Dinner with Mr Brexit: Bannon’s European Revolution – Planned with Farage, Backed by Epstein
Nigel Farage was the figurehead and his partner Laure Ferrari started it. Steve Bannon and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were providing almost daily support

I’m not sure if it’s any help to my American friends in this moment of cruelty and tragedy, but one of my most vivid memories in primary school was our teacher coming into the class in tears because 4 students had been shot dead by the National Guard in Kent State University.

You will overcome

In relation to Mark Carney:- “It was a bracing speech, but more than that, it was a brave act. It was the kind of act that Trumpism suggests does not exist, the kind of act that rebuts Trumpism by simply existing.”

Zack Polanski nails the art of politics in one sentence, which also explains why Labour under Starmer is dismally failing to engage the electorate.

I should have credited this: it’s from an interview with Polanski in the always excellent @bylinetimes.bsky.social newspaper by the brilliant Peter Jukes and Hardeep Matharu. Independent journalism at its best.

The press corps is so indifferent to religion it can’t recognize a religion story unless it’s rightwing evangelicals screaming about *their* religion story.
Where is our national press? The government has been shooting at and harassing clergy for months. This used to be a red line. The reality is their red line moved, not yours. They’re cowards.
ICE attacked an observer after they tailed a group of clergy on a spiritual pilgrimage.

Our digital producer @sam.vp just so happened to be with the clergy on their journey. He spoke with the observer who was attacked and others who witnessed the assault.

That hardly looks sumptuous to me! When Mr Farage orders a proper dinner we expect foie gras (the real thing, not just pâté!), wren pie, antique muntjac vindaloo and giant bearded clams. Washed down with the finest wines known to humanity and excellent Montecristos. Please don’t exaggerate again.

The guy should get a medal. He’s trashed Labour’s natural support base, sunk them to a distant second or third in the polls and made Starmer the most unpopular PM in history all for the grand reward of 0% of Reform voters switching to Labour. Quite an achievement.
