I think that’s true. However, I also think the main challenge facing democracies is that the sources of information - legacy and social media - are owned by righting billionaires. People don’t know what is true or false, more so than at any time in my lifetime. That facilitates the autocrats.

If you all would have included truthful Black History as part of American History, you wouldn't be so "shocked" by what is happening right now. In fact, what is happening now likely wouldn't be happening because you would have been able to see it coming with knowledge of history.
