ICYMI: new from me. This feels extra pertinent today after the extra 10 percent in love that his tangerine majesty showered on Canada yesterday.
It took me a while to work it out, but I think Carney’s entire political career is about timing - friendly and not. Also, there is a tiny inconsequential Easter egg in this column that pleases me greatly and I hope at least one person clocks it. #cdnpoli www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/opi...
Opinion: Timing has worked wildly in Mark Carney’s favour before, but now he has a problem

This is the Ontario ad that pissed the Russian fascist off down south in the US causing him to break trade negotiations with Canada.
Don't share it! 🤣 #cdnpoli

Today, @alberta.ca presented a backwards-looking economic vision, despite having all it needs to prosper in the booming clean energy economy:

Rally for public education today! Lots of folks.
From what I’ve heard while here, Teachers and their allies will not back down until classroom size and complexity is addressed. they should be paid what they deserve for the work they do. No more cuts!

Today, I take my seat in the Legislature for the first time as the MLA for Edmonton-Strathcona and Leader of the Official Opposition.

Representing you in this chamber is an incredible honour of a lifetime and a responsibility that I’m deeply grateful for.

Thank you, Alberta.

Our healthcare system is being deliberately dismantled.

✖️ Fragmenting services.
✖️ Diverting public funds to for-profit corps.
✖️ Ignoring and alienating our health experts.

Market-driven care creates inequity and costs more to the public.

We must reverse this UCP dangerous course.

PM Carney: "We used to build things in this country, we can build again. We used to explore, we can chart new courses again. We used to take big, bold risks in this country. It is time to swing for the fences again. We learned a little lesson about swinging for the fences a couple of nights ago."

To build the Canada we want for ourselves, we have to make responsible choices and bet big on Canadians.

We’re going to cut waste and spend less on government operations — so we can make the big investments that will grow our economy and create new opportunities for Canadians.

@mark-carney.bsky.social this shouldn’t be allowed. Health care is a privilege past generations fought for, and is a Canadian value. Paying for the shot is bad enough, but now they are charging an admin fee? Disgusting and not the CDN way.
Smith’s #UCP govt is doing everything to make it difficult to access life-saving vaccines. Charging $100, limiting appointments, requiring pre-ordering…this is shameful! How can people work for this health system? Where are #publichealth advocates? Chief #MOH? #abpoli
I sure hope it was a computer glitch, but after a day of phoning 811 and (finally) being put on hold for 45 minutes, I was told there are ZERO remaining Covid appointments for kids ANYWHERE in Edmonton, at ANY time. This is on Day 2 of the roll out. #abpoli #ableg #covid @shoffmanab.bsky.social
