I am in southern Ontario in the northern part of the Frontenac Arch, a rare corridor of wilderness quickly becoming less wild. Living comfortably off grid - now lol, and doing residential construction for work. I love nature, but not just on the weekends.

It's all bluster. If we actually build more affordable homes, the housing market will return to a proper valuation.
If this happens, all the wealthy people who donate to the Libs and the Cons will see their properties and rentals devalue even more than they have this year (-10%)
All bluster.
Some of us actually have to work, not just go to work.
And we are paid shit compared to people like you.
Without vacation pay, or sick leave. Or unions. Or pensions. Mental exhaustion days?
Alot of us risk our limbs and lives at work.
I think government can do more and better, with a 15% cut.
I notice you keep sticking to your talking points rather than address any I made.
I know that you know with attrition, retirements, pausing hiring, increased efficiency, decreasing expenses, reducing waste etc etc mass layoffs can be avoided. But you'd rather not work better or harder, and whine...

In Chicago, a woman was driving to get coffee when a DHS vehicle fleeing an angry crowd crashed into her car. Armed agents jumped out of the vehicle, yanked her door open, pulled her by the legs out of her car at gunpoint, held her incommunicado for hours, then released her with no charges.
If you do work for the government, I suggest you start looking for ways to increase productivity and reduce expenditures.
If I were your manager, and you told me there was 0% chance you could improve your productivity without spending more money, I would fire you immediately.
Pretty weak to conflate the truth that Canadian tariffs are charged to companies in Canada, with the whole issue of foreign ownership.
You skip the points I made because they are the reality that doesn't work with your ideology.
Don't assume my ideology to further an argument. Debate please.

It’s clear who the aggressors are. Keep remaining nonviolent, and record EVERYTHING. All of these masked ICE thugs will be held accountable.
Yea that 20 billion was going to make us rich!
Tariffs are good now, Trump said so...
Tariff your own companies BEFORE demand for Canadian steel is created and watch the money roll in... and the layoffs.
Because that $3 000 000 000 in tariffs was collected from Canadians.
Imagine how our economy would be doing if we had tariffed ourselves $20 000 000 000.
We're moving away from US goods without shooting ourselves in the foot. They're complaining about us not buying their products already.
I've got some new slogans for conservatives out there they'll likely goose-step to with glee:

"Kill the Kids!"

"Feed the Greed!"

"Please the Sleaze!"

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 91st day out of the last 103.

12 days of work in 103 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

The USDA is the fail safe for SNAP.

They have a contingency fund to ensure it’s covered in the event of a shutdown.

They’re refusing.

Grocery stores stepped up to try and help by offering discounts to any SNAP recipients and the USDA told them they had to stop.

Starvation as a policy choice.

Network edits, you say?

Lawsuit time.
Churches prayed openly for this.
Remember, these people are HOPING to usher in the apocalypse with Trump as their anti-Christ.

I know, I know, its all hogwash, but they do have the power to make Earth a hellscape...
Oh, shit...
He's also been saying they expect productivity and output to increase, and efficiencies be found. Pretty hard to argue that sector is at peak performance per dollar.
Ahhh, you benefit from the wealth divide I see...
Of course you'd ignore the 3rd option.
A 15% spending cut isn't a big deal in a sector that could easily increase its productivity. Easily.
Those of us who actually have to do work while at work, have little sympathy for the 'work from home' crowd.
