Going to attempt an updated/better explanation of the Classic Fredo Concept: The Gunstar Heroes Zone™.

A game belongs in The Gunstar Heroes Zone™ when it gains an outsize fandom and/or reputation relative to the impact the game had when it originally game out.

Sounds pretty cool, I've never really been a big mk head but I do kinda wanna check in with this one, especially since you can play as John Cena

Oh yes, sounds lovely, you see, usually the filling is ma- *trips on way towards chair, falls into corner of chair head first and dies instantly*

Might and Magic is an interesting example here because there were other spinoffs later on down the line that I also got into like dark messiah and clash of heroes, but it all started for me with the first spin-off! Wild to think back on how much this influenced my taste in games!

But it also encouraged me to check out the original might and magic games! I had purchased the next new one to come out at the time, which was 6 (the one with the totally sweet red dragon Larry Elmore cover) and really enjoyed it, which wound up getting me into a bunch of other games in THAT style

I was totally hooked, absolutely loved these games and in retrospect they got me into quite a few other games that are largely in the same style, like king's bounty, spellforce, age of wonders, eador, disciples, etc

Mine is one that I am really surprised did not come up on the show! I guess it's a little older now, but Heroes of Might and Magic! I remember when I first got a PC in the mid 90's I purchased the heroes "Compendium" on sale, which included the first 2 games and the expansion to the second one

M3gan would require development of an advanced cyborg 🤔

Now you've got me thinking about what horror movie premise would be most laborious to replicate 🤔

I actually haven't seen this one, I've heard it's not great

Oh man they're doing this old bit again lmao

It's always funny when they do it with games that are huge hits
