No. This was early nineties. Part of me likes to pretend the tech bros haven’t ruined everything 😬
Those kids were “genuinely” cool, not in just music etc, but they interacted with everyone well. Confident, and respectful until otherwise merited. It was the dream of the 9os, multiculti, LGBTQIA+.

This guy was 5 when I fostered him. He was afraid of curtains, plastic bags, newspaper…. He blossomed into the most wonderful, loving, adventurous sidekick 💕

The pharmacy here has delicious cookies. Walgreens. They’re so overworked and stressed out that I don’t usually even ask for a cookie! I’m switching over to somewhere else that might not even have dog cookies - that’s how serious it is 😐

I remember doing environmental actions in N Cali, and a judge issued a stay against the logging company. So we celebrated. The place was inhabited by hippie women who moved out of SF to raise their kids, now teens & genuinely cool. There were a few yin men around. It was utopia.
