My dad was a WWII US Army medic. Came home from Europe with a stutter from all he witnessed and inoperable shrapnel in his leg.

The idea that he and millions of others fought, bled and died to stop a monster that modern day edgelords celebrate infuriates me beyond reason.

Many of my favorites have been listed here but I’ll add a few.

Earth, Wind & Fire’s cover of The Beatles’ “Got to Get You Into My Life” is stellar. So is Art of Noise’s cover of Prince’s “Kiss” with Tom Jones.

Plus any Jimmy Buffett rendition of “Brown Eyed Girl” far exceeds the original.

My big brother invested in me a love of folk music from the cradle (he was 14 years my senior) and A Mighty Wind is so freaking brilliant I can’t even. AND it’s from the same mind who lampooned hard rock in This Is Spinal Tap?!?
