Lrp i love the frustrations of painting. The little joys, the harsh reality checks, the puzzles. The outcome isnt the point. I would hate to outsource the growing part of growth.

I write because I love writing. I love writing even when I'm struggling with a writing problem that is killing me. Finding a way through that problem is both intensely rewarding and also helps me become a better writer. There is no reason for me to ever outsource that.

I guess it means you could curate your following a bit more but i already hardly chat with people here, so not worth it for me!

Plus it means i have one feed of people i follow and not multiple lists that i’d forget to cross follow so i have more chances of seeing Zeiku art… 😍

Related, ive already mixed up socks and medication. i misremembered hearing an old tv ad for mail delivery medication… said ‘eat your socks’ with my whole chest in front of my family when reminding my mom of her 5 oclock meds

And not the dialects in classes. I had no idea that some words were pronounced with a ‘ssss’ sound in the middle because my family tends to just skip them entirely! So i’d get picked on by first language speakers and classmates, for slangy sounding spanish since… it’s what i hear from family! >

Growing up with both parents bilingual but in completely different languages made it hard for either to stick, but im much closer with and more in tune with my latino family. Jus,,, no sabo. its hard to learn from schools since im used to puerto rican spanish >

🤝 it’s such an awful feeling. Like yea we make stuff for ourselves, but the support from those close to us matters so much. There’s a difference between relying on outside sources for self worth and engaging in sharing a passion with someone you consider a friend. If there’s no engagement… feels bad
