I know! It even shares the Oleracea species, despite being a different genus???

But spinach is apparently part of the other mutant agricultural family shared by beets and quinoa.

I spent part of a summer as part of that process! Specifically working in a friend's lab, to genetically modify cultivated Brassica.

General idea was to restore a pest-protective gene they'd lost at some point, in that 8000 year domestication process from wild mustard.

Amazing plant, frankly.

Sorry I realized my silly brain replaced cabbage with spinach and I could not live with the shame.

Love to fry some Brassica (cabbage) in some Brassica (canola oil), and top it with a bit of Brassica (mustard).

Per Reddit: Steam adult developer in the UK is sitting on a USD equivalent of six figures, can’t find a bank to take his money because the developer creates adult games

I develop adult video games on Steam. I can't find a bank that will actually let me withdraw my money from Steam. Can I get some advice?
Game has sold quite well on Steam. I've got almost £90,000 ready to withdraw after Steam's cut + VAT taken off.

However, it's been 2 months now and I can't find ANY bank in the UK who will let me withdraw my money from Steam. I've been banned/refused/unable to get a business account with:

Wise
Revolut
Monzo
Monese
Chase
Starling
Nationwide
Halifax
Barclays
Lloyds
RBS

It always comes down to, "Where did you get this money from?"

"It's coming from games I sell on Steam."

"Can we see the store page?"

"Sure."

"I'm sorry, we can't do business with you at this time."

It keeps coming down to a commercial decision purely because I make adult content.

What the hell am I supposed to do? I've pretty much exhausted the whole banking system. I just want to be able to be paid for products I've sold.

people always ask me why i use tris, its because on really low poly models it gives you full control over how the mesh deforms with the rig and how light hits the mesh. My tris are very particular, i dont model in quads and then triangulate later because blender usually chooses the wrong direction

Holy shit someone uploaded the entire stage play adaptation of the Yakuza videogame series with English subtitles and it’s glorious and 500x better than the Amazon show youtu.be/Z2Msr4si6dU?...

Too tired to make something. Too tired to game. Only able to post.

Truly this is hell.

Yeah, I was reading about new sodium ion battery tech earlier. Moderately high capacity, made from cheap and common materials. They don't even need war orphans to mine them.

Plus, they don't even burn or explode into toxic unquenchable fire after a few years, so where's the fun in that?

So this guy was pretty much wrong about everything.
Argath aka Algus yells "Animals have no God!!" like a jerk. The original translation of Final Fantasy Tactics is notoriously rough, but I always liked how blunt this line was.

Sass aside, happy to have stuck with it, and gotten to where I'm at now. My late 30s have been good.

Looking forward to the rest of 'em!

Got my first non-contract job offer outside the US, and filed my working-abroad paperwork for my birthday.

Finally starting a career, and I'm not even 40 yet! And who knows, maybe I'll be a homeowner by 45, and can start a family by 50!

Skies da limit.

Suddenly, a large part of what I love about this game makes sense!

Mentioned this a while back, but I've come into possession of a bunch of Vogue and Good Housekeeping magazines from the 60s onward, which don't seem to be archived anywhere.

Does anyone know of any ways to digitize these quickly? I'm willing to scan these by hand, but I bet there's a quicker way.

Slime Rancher 2, bringing the important new features.

Why ranch, when you can just make them a little cafe?
