I knew that song was iffy when it came out, so I wrote new lyrics about the pain of police brutality on Black people.

My version has definitely held up over time, his has become gross.

Every time I hear someone say that they are gonna turn away from social media, I feel so frustrated with this world!

Social media could have been so beautiful…connecting diasporas and including folks so often left out…instead we got Jay’s waffles and Nazis megalomaniacs.

It’s a sin and a shame.😔
