These are the whitest turkeys I have ever seen.

If the pardon hadn’t worked out, they were probably white enough to qualify for refugee status.

QUESTION: I need to play a Steam game on my MacBook Air. How can I do this safely and on the cheap?

Word on the gamer streets 😎is that Whisky was/is the way to go for a newbie, even though it is no longer updated.

My kids just need to play a game on there for a project…help! 😊

People should read this (even though I had to stop reading it).

It brings me back to a truth that has long haunted me: that people eager to enact great cruelty live and walk among us. Only now they work for ICE.

But their existence was never without consequence. Just easier for some to ignore.

New Yorkers did their part to push back against AI “friends” and Chicago is doing the same…

But this war is going to have many battles on many fronts.

Which is to say, WHO THE F*CK is Robyn?!?

Here’s what I hear: AI needs time and top minds to allow it to grow slowly and thoughtfully without the pressure to make a profit…

If only we had a large, internationally respected higher education system - already a source of tech and medical innovation - where such a thing could happen! Alas.

This could be a really funny and meaningful movie, yo. Maybe I shouldn’t be giving this away for free on here!
I just invented a movie (heh) in which a perimenopausal woman get a testosterone cream prescription that changes her life.

She’s bold! She starts the business she dreamt of! She’s sexy! Making moves she’d never dared!

Only to find out there had been a mix up and the cream was just lotion.

🫨😏😎

Re: last repost

I was too old for Sesame Street when this aired but somehow (!!) ended up seeing the broadcast that day.

I was old enough to understand the importance of what they were doing and why and I was SO inspired and moved.

I will fight folks over PBS children’s programming.
[November 18th, 1985] In the Season 17 premiere of Sesame Street, Episode 2096, the adults on Sesame Street finally meet Mr. Snuffleupagus and realize he is real, not imaginary.

Elmo is also introduced as a new character.

This moment was necessitated by real life.
At the time, child sex abuse was a growing topic of conversation & the bit dating back to S3 of adults not believing in Mr. Snuffleupagus’ existence could be seen as the same as adults not believing children who report what happens to them.

I’m typing this response in the hope that it allows me to focus enough to stop laughing hysterically at this!!

But I know I’m going to watch it again! “Hell yeah!” 😂😂🤣

YO. I thought that #AllHerFault was just a miniseries based on an airport bookstore book abt white people problems. 💁🏽‍♀️

But cool cast and parenting issues, so, okay, let’s give it a go…

By the end I was literally hollering and running through my apartment! I laughed and clapped. Nuff respeck due!
I’m on the first episode of #AllHerFault and the old woman is already suspicious to me.

All I knew was that after months of watching Zohran Mamdani grinning during his months-long mayoral campaign…

…was that there would be nary a tooth on display today with Trump!

I wasn’t ready to see Zohran grumpy, so I’m glad Mamdani chose the bemused and unbothered approach.

…and “It Doesn’t Have To Be This Way,” could be the title of a handbook allowing us to find our way to brighter future globally. ✨✊🏾 ✨
"It didn't have to be this way" could be the title of a book on US history
I believe that the trajectory of COVID in the world could have been fundamentally transformed for the better by a different response by the U.S., UK and other large nations.

It didn’t have to be this way.

This haunts and angers me so much, as I struggle to accept where we now find ourselves.

Mind you, I realize the point of broadcast television is to sell stuff…🫤

…but the way in which streaming services add ads to content not made for ads is so annoying! 😣

TV designed to include ads would use that pause intentionally. But these ads don’t even wait until the end of a scene!

“The Apple is green. True or False?” (no image included)

This question is from a well-respected, standardized achievement test my kids might have to take.

If this test can’t account for the existence of a damn Granny Smith apple (🍏!)…

…how can it offer insight on my bright & quirky kids?! 💁🏽‍♀️

So it’s worth noting that NBC NEWS NOW is kinda cool.

There are redundant mornings show puff pieces, but they have:

…the NBC News staff on their bench…

…lo-fi beats during ad breaks

…and a lot more WOC anchors!

(Should I watch less cable news? Yeah, probably, but I’m just sharing facts…😊)

So what happens to the huge NBC News structure that fed MSNBC? What does Kelly O’Donnell do all day?

“NBC News Now” doesn’t seem like enough…so what’s the outlet for their news division beyond the blogs and 1/2 hour Nightly News?
