I hope so too, Amy. As good as they 'say' the technology is, mining will be like fishing around in the dark causing widespread damage to sensitive, highly diverse, and vulnerable ecosystems.

I wasn't very clear about why I wrote the intro to that article. If the US did contract US companies, where would all of the material be processed? Plus, plants like those take years to complete.
