I don't know what you mean. I've been waiting for them to remaster We Goon for ages

Those awkward questions kids have do come up at the strangest of times. I was watching Deep Space 9 with my son and its the episode where Dax and Worf get together. At the end they both report to sickbay with cuts and bruises, and suddenly son, 10, blurts out: "Wait! Have they just had SEX!?!"

Not to mention the ethical question around employing a guy who was banned for financial malpractice

I think bringing Paratici back is a misstep, and I'm surprised the Lewises have done it given it always appeared he was Levy's man. Making him joint sporting director undermines Lange and feels like unnecessary duplication in a structure that finally seemed to make sense.

Two very different ways of covering the same report

This is a huge story but massively under the radar in the UK.

A US Christian legal org called the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) is working to roll back abortion rights here using the same playbook it used in the US: briefing politicians, watching, waiting.

On a less important note, HtFP is in dire need of a redesign. The site would have looked dated in the early 2000s

This is one of the obstacles workers face when trying to get the money awarded to them by employment tribunals.

Our investigation found that directors shut down companies & open them up again to avoid paying tribunal awards.

Maddison is providing a seemingly unprecedented level of detail about his injury and recovery process. No question this will help other people going through similar situations. Huge credit to him

Massive props to Maddison for opening up like this. Even if you don’t have any interest in football this is worth a watch to understand how a sportsperson responds to a career-threatening injury. A stark reminder, as many seem to need, that they are human beings too youtu.be/Lk3go4wD1QY?...

My first thought after last night's game was whether Spence would post about Johnson. I figured he wouldn't but, fair play, he does not discriminate

If a "younger" reporter files me a story containing an error like that and we end up publishing it, then ultimately that's on me. I'd get very short shrift if I blamed them for it, and rightly so
garethtbij.bsky.social
Poor form to blame "younger producers". Do they not have fact-checking processes that should have spotted this basic factual error? Either way, more experienced staff should have caught it
