We live in a society run by folks trying very hard to bend reality to suit their ends & egos to a greater extent than ever before (as a country we've always preferred revisionist history). Speak the truth (especially to kids), archive books & films, & do all in your power to counter their ignorance!
Wow. 2 years already? Time certainly does fly. I'm so delighted for you both! 💜

A useful animated video, illustrating how everyday noises—ones non-autistic people may not notice—can overwhelm an autistic person, in some cases leading to bolting and meltdowns that uninformed people dismiss as "autistic behaviors." Please watch and share.

Man I would really like to find a beautiful, solid, built out of high-quality materials cat tree that would be a lasting furniture piece for life that enriched the appearance of my living room rather than looking like piece of shit.

Wierd hot take out of nowhere: I feel like Avenue Q did a lot of damage to the active movement against anti racism due to "everyone's a little bit racist" coddling racists with a fun little song about how "racism isn't that bad actually"
It's the perfect (for me) middle ground. Enough mechanics to get your teeth into, but with a definite focus on the narrative experience. I'm delighted to be getting back to it.

Well, after a brief detour into the Mutants & Masterminds 4e playtest (high marks!) this coming Sunday my table will be getting back to the game I feel like I've been waiting 40 years to GM - Daggerheart, and the setting we've built as a group, which always feels like coming home to me. 😊
They did a good job of tightening the system, adding in some quality of life changes, and excised the OGL. Supers are fun, but I prefer to run fantasy, and Daggerheart is just brilliant.

This is my mother. And people wonder where I get it from... 😜
Hang in there.

You kinda had the inside track though, methinks. 😊

Eh... Kinda sorta. 🤷‍♂️
Every time I choose to support an organization financially, I am in effect, casting fiscal votes for the continuation of that organization. Every decision made in a shared society is political on some level.

You ever notice that literally every time someone says that they don't want politics in their entertainment, that they are invariably a conservative thinker? Hmm... Perhaps there's a message there, if only they could see it... 🤔
Indeed. I'm a big fan of acting like I simply don't understand them, and making them spell it out. 😜
Oh, I'm well aware of what they actually mean. I kind of wish I put "politics" in quotes in my initial post. What they call politics are things that are just facts of life to me...
I find it to be such a strange predilection, personally.

We have been a part of the human condition since long before either Tylenol or vaccines had ever been invented. Nice try, you uneducated potatoes!
I’m autistic. Not because of Tylenol.
Not because of vaccines.
Not because of some headline.
I’m autistic because that’s how
my brain works. Stop treating us
like a problem. Start listening to us.

So proud to be representing these courageous patients in their first-in-the-country lawsuit against a medical system for stopping gender affirming care for those under 19.
Just in: WLP, Berger Montague, and law professor David S. Cohen filed a complaint against UPMC Children’s Hospital for unlawfully denying gender-affirming care to transgender patients under 19.
