Certainly!

On kickstarter, projects that use genAI drastically underperform compared to projects with real art and design. At Unplugged, booths that used genAI struggled to attract attendees.

People might consume AIslop for free, but when it comes to spending time & money, most want real art.

Whenever indie devs use AI, it hurts their sales potential and retention because it’s a 🚩red flag for generalized unprofessionalism and cut corners.

Getting real art from a pro will make you look like a pro.

If you're a solo dev/small indie team looking for art or logos please don't turn to genAI. I would honestly rather folks reach out to a designer and offer like rev share alongside a smaller up front cost to get something made by a person.

How long does it usually take to move from mice to human trials, & then to broad use?

I got ErPr+ HER2- breast cancer in my early 30s. It’s not TNBC, but about 1/3 of us get metastatic recurrence decades later. I’m very interested in recurrence prevention applications.

Only paper products and magnets can be made domestically. The US does not have much manufacturing for acrylics, enamel pins, plush, etc— & what little we do have is 5-6x the price for lower quality.

Many of these items already have large minimum orders, so tariffs on top really hurt indie artists.

Annoyingly, I’m not allowed to remove a suspicious pledge myself, gotta wait and see what Kickstarter does. The data gremlin in me is annoyed.

We got a “2k no reward” fake pledge.

I read sometimes it’s to target underfunded creators & upsell some BS, but we are fully funded already.

Or it could be a scam where they pledge with a stolen card & then they demand a refund to a different card after it’s charged??

But we’re still 2 weeks out.
