Taking advantage of a nice day, removing annuals from the patio pots. I want to leave the roots in the soil for a change but right now I'm just having a hard time cutting back any of the annuals that still have even minimal flower growth left them knowing six months w/o colour is such a long time.

Oh, this one hurts. I've always loved Diane Keaton - she always seemed so down to earth, her self-deprecating humour and, of course, that inimitable style of hers. Some of my faves she was in - Annie Hall of course, Something's Gotta Give with Nicholson, Mrs. Soffel, Looking for Mr. Goodbar & Reds.

Too bad, so sad but they're still pointing to tariffs as being the cause for the 85% plummet in exports of 🇺🇸 spirits. Most 🇺🇸s think tariffs are the reason but 🇨🇦s know why. It's the threats to our sovereignty/51st state rhetoric driving this booze ban bus. Keep it up. LFG!

Like everyone, I hope this is a lasting peace deal.

That said, it's pretty disgusting to watch some political journalists trip over each other in competition to muse about a Nobel Peace Prize for a president who is currently deploying troops against American cities, violently weaponizing an apparently unaccountable police force against American citizens, suppressing freedom of the press, shutting down free speech for corporations and campuses to leverage bribery deals, openly threatening and cajoling federal judges, cutting many billions in foreign aid that will lead to millions of deaths globally, engaging in the extrajudicial murder of foreign citizens, placating dictatorial regimes with widely documented human rights abuses, and undermining global stability with third-rate mafia tactics.

It's tragic to witness how quickly informed journalists are folding to the fascism materializing in front of us because they don't want to be targeted next.

I am aware that there has always been some form of collaboration between the two sides but the fact that they want to put forth this legislation to "integrate more at the borders/operate in Canada" just rings my alarm bells. The constant bullshit about people pouring across from our side to theirs
