On November 4, 1995, former PM Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by far-Right activist Yigal Amir during a massive peace rally in Tel Aviv.

Rabin had agreed to cede some of the territory won in the 1967 Six-Day War to the PLO in exchange for peace during the negotiations of the Oslo Accords.

Yes, Maduro is a "bad actor" but the employment of gunboat diplomacy at this particular moment seems to be yet another cynical bid by the Trump admin to distract from, oh.. I don't know... the gov't shutdown, impending ACA premium hikes, the lack of SNAP benefits being distributed, Epstein, et. al.
