I tried Zapotec #boardgame last night. Seems a great choice for a midweek evening euro game. I liked it.

The weekend ended up being a bit of a @flatoutgames.bsky.social fest. After Friday’s Fit to Print, Point Galaxy, Knitting Circle and Cascadia all got some time at my table. I find their #boardgames to consistently hit for me.

More Galactic Cruise from @kinsonkeygames.bsky.social @drandagames.bsky.social on the #boardgames blog today. It’s proving to be one of my favourite euro games of recent times and was a great way to spend my Saturday morning. 😊

Thanks Rory 😊

Starting it 3 years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve made. It brings me a lot of joy. 🙂
At opposite ends of the #boardgame spectrum today we have Comanchería from @gmtgames.bsky.social and Leaping Lions from @buttonshy.bsky.social I love the variety available to a solo gamer in this hobby. Oh, it’s blog post no. 400 today too! 🎉🎊😍

My review of one of the hot releases of 2025, Fate of the Fellowship, is now up on #boardgames blog. It comes complete with the tenuous use of quotes. One can simply head there to read them.

Leaping Lions is fun and very pretty… but they will get carried away and dance off the end of your play mat! 😄

More nautical #boardgames in today’s blog. The Nautilus gets a second run out in the wonderfully thematic Nemo’s War, whilst I continue to have no Shallow Regrets about my love of (almost) all things solo from @buttonshy.bsky.social

I rectified a notable gap in my solo #boardgame playing experiences today. I played the excellent Nemo’s War at last. It was worth the wait.

A 16 year old design that still felt fresh and interesting. Lovely.

Thank you 🙂

I’ll see how tedious the scoring is after teaching it to 2-5 teenagers this afternoon! 🫣😄
In today’s #boardgame blog I take a look at those in my collection featuring the wonderful art of @ianotoole.bsky.social. Be it through characterful illustration, or intuitive graphic design, it never fails to add positively to my board game playing experience.

It’s a big ol’ #boardgame blog entry today. I take a look at some of the #wargames I’ve now played from the perspective of a former non wargamer.
It was harder than I thought to write about… but I got there and am pretty happy with this one. 🙂

I’d only seen pictures of the box from above… you can imagine my surprise when I saw how deep it was! It’s huge!

Just finished sorting it, ready for the weekend 😊
Today, it seems, is a good day.

My BGG Galactic Cruise competition prize has arrived! 😍😍😍🚀🚀🚀
Sometimes a bit of couch rest is needed… but more often than not I find myself being far happier getting to the table and playing something light for 15 minutes. It’s great to have games that cover that 🙂
Having a #boardgame collection that caters to my various whims is a nice luxury to have. Here’s how mine came up trumps on two consecutive Tuesdays.
