Writes about prose-y books and picture-y books. Might actually be one of those Arcimboldo things where it's just a pile of fresh produce arranged like a face.

He might be more divorced than Elon but with less externalized harm.
Peak hubris might've been when he boasted about how the scientific community was flat out refusing to engage with his cosmological thesis that he developed from reading a couple books from the Kitchener Public Library and published in his funny animal comic.
According to his own accounts of the origins of Cerebus without Deni in his life he'd still be working in the downstairs of a used book shop and never get the chance to resolve the unified field theory by ripping off Marvel's best 2 non cape books of the '70s.
Please buy Moonflower by Bitter Karella to support this amazing artist who I someone think makes incredibly niche literary humor just for me.
Hailey Piper: Submitted for the approval of the midnight society, i call this the tale of the game in yellow
Piper: what if there was a book that, if you read it, it made you go insane but also it made you super horny
Piper: would you take that chance?
Barker: i don't know why you're even asking lol
True, but you're right in that any contract needs to be treated seriously and thoroughly understood before you sign. In both of these cases there were sneaky little clauses with big negative impact for the creators

The regime assumes all the people on benefits are Black
I really don’t get the play here honestly. Just throwing SNAP to the wolves for no reason at the same time the ACA premiums skyrocket?
Not reading contracts is how Alan Moore and David Lloyd lost ownership of V for Vendetta.

"Tzefardea Tzedek" (Frog of Righteousness)

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)

"Chicago-area companies have made millions in lucrative contracts supporting Operation Midway Blitz."

Chicago-Area Companies Raked In Millions From Feds As Operation Midway Blitz Intensified
One Chicago-based company was awarded more than $7 million to relocate ICE employees while a suburban weapons manufacturer was paid nearly $1.5 million in two weeks to supply pepper balls and…

There's no point in Krakoa where you go "I literally have no idea who the perceived audience for this is anymore."
See also, that time I almost started a fist fight at the Poetry Foundation because someone insinuated I couldn't fully understand the works of Hart Crane.
It's not that I have bad impulse control, it's that my impulses are doing nonsense like this instead of getting a Chumbawamba tattoo
This is the part where I admit I went back into that well because Tom Ewing was doing a whole reread and critique of Cerebus and I didn't feel good about letting him do it alone.

I'm doing the same with you and Krakoa but it's way more fun and psychologically manageable

A Few Good Men but Wallace Shawn in the Jack Nicholson role
3 could be interesting. Did you have a time period in mind?
We've got to stop making elected officials into heroes. And pretending they're our relatives. And whatever the hell people were doing with Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
In which case this might have not been her first encounter with an anthropomorphic lifeform from another dimension/new galaxy.
Everyone makes fun of that illustration of Lex Luthor stealing 40 pies (which is as many as 4 tens) but you look at the men in power and...
There's a Grant Morrison line I think about once a week at least:

"We're soldiers; we're in the business of creating a context for our own existence."

We would have to be incredibly honest about war being America's biggest export
We need some long and hard conversations about extremism in the military and guns, and this country is nowhere near being an iota ready to have them.
I think about Spider-verse Aunt May a lot!
The alternate Spider-heroes started appearing in Miles' universe after the disaster where May's nephew was killed. And we don't know who was the first to seek her out. So, in the immediacy of her grief for the nephew she raised and loved as a son, was her first encounter with Spider-Ham?
That said, two things I've noticed that I do wonder about.

When May see's Doc Ock she recognizes her AND knows her by name, and it's contextually implied that Dr, Liz Octavius is not a publicly know villain, so did they go out at one point? They were engaged in the comics, Lilly Tomlin is gay....
