I prefer to think positively that the war can come to an end soon. But I also believe that Ukraine needs to keep up its very successful campaign to bring Russia to financial ruin with continued attacks on oil and gas and power infrastructure. Russia will probably require being forced to make peace.

To conservatives Ronald Reagan was a saint. His policies set off the rise of the oligarchs and plutocracy that is now using money to attempt to secure permanent control and power. To the rest of us Ronald Reagan was the president responsible for the beginning of the end of American exceptionalism.

True. But while Pakistan was fighting the Talliban as an ally of the US, it also at times both overtly and covertly assisted the Talliban which was reported in NYTs, Washington Post, and other American and international media. Why Pakistan did this was never really explained.

Trump, his corrupt and incompetent administration, PLUS the Supreme Court and the entire republican party have doubled down in their attempt to pull off a coup to destroy the constitution and our democracy, oppress the American people, and give plutocracy complete control of the budget and military.
