Someone finally wrote the data-center/electricity inflation story.

My personal opinion? Not much better when it comes to the quality of the data. Is it easier to download? Maybe? osm2pgsql is a dope tool too. #gischat #geosky
I know Ibis integrates well with BigQuery as far as python packages go. I’m a little vendor lock-in averse. #gischat #geosky
I’m at a Azure/Microsoft shop for the time being. I’ll be sure to keep the GCP solution in my noggin though. #gischat #geosky
This is so cute I absolutely love it! #rstats
Am I crazy for wanting to use Apache Airflow and PostGIS to build a geospatial data platform for my org? Is that a dumb idea? #GISchat #geosky
I’m tempted to go down the rabbit hole of either GRASS functions or setting up safeguards in PostGIS to solve this problem.
I’ve found pixi to be pretty darn helpful for geospatial, uv is solid if you need only Python stuff. #gischat
PSA to GIS Professionals: friends don’t let friends create data products with invalid geometries. #GISchat
I was referring to the xkcd comic strip. 🤷🏼 in this case, it is what it is.
Instead of saving a csv, why not give Arrow a try?

18F was doing exactly the type of work that DOGE claims to want – yet we were eliminated shortly after midnight. Read our letter to the American people:

I remember seeing 18F at Pycon a few years back. Godspeed.

The administration got rid of 18F under the cover of night. People who own skyscrapers are afraid of 100 people who make websites.

Not because of the latest tech fad, but because we proved the government can be fixed, the government can be made better and the government can work for the people.
You may enjoy ruff as a replacement for your Python linting—it’s wicked fast.
