I have no problem with sending humans to Mars. But, it needs to be science based. Similar to a research station in Antarctica. Musk is instead trying to sell horse shit of a commercial venture and creating a civilization of slaves. He would never build a rocket "for science".

Nothing will happen if Dems can't win back control of both the House and Senate, but this NSA whistleblower report is likely the one thing that would take down Trump on impeachment. And I've got money that says it has a lot to do with that 747 from Qatar and one of his sons.

I've heard concerns from people I know who are still serving that Iran is developing a "flying grenade". A cell phone sized drone, potentially capable of 100+ mile flight, that can be launched in swarms and just indiscriminately dive bombs a battlefield (or a city) with a small explosive.
I stand against everything the Iranian Regime represents, but still find it sad that western nations flaunt their "technological expertise" when Iran used "redneck engineering" and created a cheap drone with basically a lawn mower attached to it and changed every battlefield in the world overnight.

In Feb 2024, I bought a capacitor for our A/C and paid $11.04 (with tax). It should last longer than two years, but I just tested our system and it's weak, so to be prepared I just bought the same capacitor for $31.12 (with tax).
That's a pretty significant hike for a two year stretch.

I've not seen reports of LEO using dogs at house. One of the first things my dad (a sheriff) would have done is had someone walk street/property with cadaver dog to rule out potential homicide. I think it's kind of weird they didn't (or at least news hasn't reported it if they did).

For what it's worth... I still think the most likely outcome is someone she knew. It's been a week, she's on important meds. Past 72 hours, that usually gets critical. I don't think person is really after a ransom, I think it's likely something to try and throw off investigation. But, we'll see.

I'm pretty impressed with KOLD. They didn't ask for it and I am quite sure didn't want it, but they have become the intermediary between the Guthrie Family and what may be the kidnappers. They're sitting on news everyone wants, they're journalists and they're being very responsible.

I'm not sure if it matters anymore. I don't think there's very many people in the USA with "major media buying money" who want to run an apolitical organization and not have their fingers in the White House money jar. The only way WaPo will ever matter again is to make it employee owned/controlled.
