Also… since they can’t process crude, they have to sell it to another nation and then buy gas to ship back to Russia…. So there are gas shortages and that’s already happening. That also requires different ships, crude tankers can’t haul gasoline. So it’s very expensive.

*for a very limited time.

Their wells are about to be damaged.

I don’t think you understand. They lost refining capabilities and so they have to export the raw crude because they can’t process it. Port capacity at max. Wells still pumping with nowhere to pump too. That means they’ll have to shut in wells. In Siberia, that could damage and inability to restart.

Europe needs to get real serious, real fast about causing as much damage as possible to Russia’s shadow fleet of tankers. If they’re running flagless, land SOF and direct ship to a port where it can be salvaged.

Russia losing refining capabilities. Thus, they’re exporting more raw crude because they cant process it. Ports are at max. If this continues, they’ll have to shut in wells because it’ll have nowhere to go. In Siberia, capping a well usually damages it to the point it’s uneconomical to restart it. 🇺🇦

🦅🛢️ Ukraine’s attacks are forcing Russia to sell more crude oil — Bloomberg.

Since the beginning of August, Ukraine has carried out at least 28 attacks on Russian refineries.

Although export flows have increased, Russian ports are operating almost at their limits.

The U.S. military swears to the Constitution, not a president. Even with leadership churn, it’s built on lawful orders, civilian checks, and a DEEP OFFICER CORPS. History shows the Pentagon pushes back when told to cross legal lines. It won’t become a partisan militia or turn its guns on Americans.

We were there on a holdover once for about a week. Ended up partying with a few of them. Of course, we never told them who we worked for or anything.

And the damndest thing about it... the two countries that they're keeping at peace are two NATO countries... Greece and Turkey. Either of those countries could mow over these troops if they wanted to. So... this is kind of a dumb peacekeeping mission. Good way to funnel money in Cyprus tho. Absurd.

An Argentina military 737 is landing at Cyprus at the moment. Argentina has a US peacekeeping contingent in Cyprus (blue helmets). They've been doing this for 30+ years. That's gotta be one of the most gravy military jobs. If I lived in Argentina, I'd walk over hot coals to get this deployment.

Russia and China both developed their current stealth tech from this aircraft. One was shot down in Serbia in 1999 and the wreckage went to Moscow/Beijing. So in a nutshell, their current stealth tech is based on our 1970s tech...

It just works differently. Take Katrina for example, those were national guard troops. They were under the command of Gen. Honoré, who was not national guard. He had his officers below him, and they passed the chain of command to the troops. It's a babysitting job, basically.

That was the police department that did that. Not the US Air Force.

Courts need to move faster, but I think the courts are going to continue to shut down each activation. Title 10 activations simply cannot carry out law enforcement duties on US soil.

When Title 10 troops are federalized, they fall under DoD command. In contrast, guards under Title 32 (Kent State) are under the governor’s control and behave like an arm of state law enforcement. That chain-of-command difference makes abuses like Kent State much harder under a Title 10 activation.
altnoaa.bsky.social
That's not exactly apples to apples. They were state-controlled citizen soldiers with Title 32 orders, not federalized under Title 10. They were essentially "state police" with a DoD uniform. Their rules, orders, etc... was determined by the Governor.
