Remembering the women in the lives of the great men. Who would have been nothing without them. Here's a pencil and watercolour sketch I made in Venice some years ago. www.orlaclancycontemporaryart.com

Imagine if George W. Bush was making secret payments to Al Qaeda in 2000 and 2001 via a third country cut out? Why we give Israel a dime of our tax dollars is beyond me.

Barbaric brutality. And, it highlights the a) terrible intelligence failure, that could have prevented the attack and b) the equally disastrous political decision by Bibi to hav propped up the group via payments by Qatar. Accountability required for both. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/w...

Fastcompany - Starlink satellites are already falling, and it will only get worse

SpaceX’s Starlink orbital internet satellites are falling out of low earth orbit at an increasingly alarming rate, with one to two satellites now reentering Earth’s atmosphere every single day.

Elon Musk’s satellite network is expected to balloon in size over the next decade. Should we be concerned? (Hint: Many experts already are.)

BREAKING: Look at this.

A new crypto account was opened yesterday morning.

30 minutes BEFORE Trump's announcement of 100% tariffs on China, it added a huge multi-million dollar levered Bitcoin short position, per YF.

Market dumped.

The trader made a profit of $192 million in two hours.

Unusual.

"Gilded Rage" isn’t simply a rehash of existing reportage. What separates Silverman’s book from other writeups, and where his book truly shines, is in his attempt to get at the root of Silicon Valley’s anti-democratic lurch. www.thebulwark.com/p/why-our-te...

I don't like to brag but I do think our cat Jim is probably better at stretching than virtually any other cat in Britain.
Jim doing a fantastic stretch.

Ukrainian air defense intercepted and destroyed an Iskander-K cruise missile on its way to a city.

Cause → trained crews, smart radar, ready launchers. Effect → lives saved, homes intact, power still on. 👇

These watches appear to be ripoffs of famous designs. Likely from some factory that normally produces "homage" watches and they just swapped out the branding.

9th Circuit just made anti-SLAPP laws (like the good ones in California and Nevada) a lot less effective. This is going to lead to a ton of suppressed speech. Stupid and dangerous. Especially now.

We need a federal anti-SLAPP law now. And we won't get one.
