Everything will be chalked up to either "foreign incompetence" or "technically, THEY killed them, and it was out of our hands."

It all depends upon how far Trump can push the military into each and every major city, and if the troops decide they are OK with harming civilians...

What I'm worried about is a "not here, so maybe it didn't happen" repeat of the Holocaust. People will get shipped to other countries, where they will conveniently get "LOST." The bodies will be disposed of in a way to where they are never found, so "proof they were murdered" will not exist.

I did this once, and got caught in an argument with a guy who I'm pretty sure just wanted to have the last word. I found out that there was a probability the guy might be a bot, or even an Eastern Indian guy hired to argue MAGA points, and I just stopped.

Anyways, I wanted to say hang in there, and I’m sorry if you catch a few strays from atheists who are very scared & angry at Christians, lashing out in every direction. And Bonhoeffer had similar struggles watching his fellow Christians morph into Nazis. Hopefully that will be some comfort for you
