June 27, 2023. The day we brought her home from the hospital after a 3 day stay. She couldn’t breathe or walk. We thought we’d lose her. They worked a miracle and got her back home. That’s our daughter hugging her while we all cried tears of joy. This has been pinned over there since that day 🐾❤️

Right?! I remember our ship getting one of the first GPS units in ‘91. About the size of one of those old car stereo units you could take out of the dash. I looked at it like well, doesn’t look like much. It took us on a 6 month deployment halfway around the world & back.

Exactly! My brother who was actually on Six at the time couldn’t officially consult but did agree to read the script that my friend sent me. He basically responded with “Who the fuck wrote this?? We don’t do anything like this!” 😂

Once in a great while a military based show/movie makes it obvious that they hired legit consultants & listened to them. A friend of mine shot a Team 6 show. He walked after 2 episodes because while they did have retired SEALs as consultants, they didn’t listen to their input.

Sorry to say I turned it off 20 minutes in. I went to boot camp around the same time as the person this is about. It was so inaccurate right from the start. Yelling at recruits as they got off the bus? No. Telling recruits to call the DI’s “Sir”? I saw guys getting dropped for pushups for that.

The peculiar premise got me interested. Then the soundtrack (80’s music) kept me watching. Then the show lagged. And lagged. Then it just became stupid. That was episode 1. That’s where I stopped. HBO has a great track record. Who’s in charge now?

This is an annual event in Half Moon Bay. The only issue is that this is basically a weekend long festival that attracts thousands. But it’s all one lane roads leading into town. Probably my we’ve never gone. But that is an impressive pumpkin!

You can put something on top to press, but I don’t bother. Tight wrap with the plastic wrap basically does the same thing.

I’d add that you can add any additional appealing sounding spices along with the salt & sugar. I added red pepper flakes to this one. And after you rinse & pat dry with paper towels, put them on a wire rack uncovered in the fridge overnight so it dries thoroughly.
