IMO since Sony can’t beat Xbox on the cloud tech/everywhere availability side, they need to make sure they have the content (strong IP like Nintendo but not the exact same colorful, party, platformers etc), and the affordable performance - even if Xbox ends up slightly more powerful, they can win $
