Every ICE Agent is the worst person alive

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

Here's their story.

Three key points:
1) The admin has been planning mass firings to begin in October since February
2) The work necessary to carry out mass firings is illegal during a shutdown, violating the Antideficiency Act, which carries a criminal penalty
3) This harms America, ridding us of talent and expertise

Like so many industrial scale scams, this is going to leave uncountable lives ruined by the wayside, with all the moralizing already in place to damn them for their choices. Terrifying, every day.

It's among the most clearly irresponsible alliances between business and government that has occurred in my lifetime - and, like, it isnt even providing transportation, or houses, there's NO VALUE GENERATED. It's just theft. Straight, wallet inspector hours. Stamped by government.

The complicity of DJ's, journalists, broadcasters - the studios and executives who have allowed gambling to underwrite the whole of sports media; oh yeah, this is a bubble, too. This is an auto bail out waiting to happen. TV and streaming giants bettering their years on gambling ad revenue.
hanksingle.bsky.social
That's how it is with slots players, too. Playing is the thing. The win is nice, but it's part of a package of emotions, built on a foundation of *accepting losing relatively large amounts of your money*.

Something which was spiraling out of control in this country BEFORE it was legal.
hanksingle.bsky.social
The industry, now, has gamified and socialized gambling to a point that it seems people just feed a steady % of income into their phone, like they are paying rent to watch sports - or just to participate in conversation at work. Lots of people dont seem to be TRYING to win - they just gamble.
hanksingle.bsky.social
You are betting money that you are *more than likely* not getting back. Or you've bet a relatively large amount of money, that you are relatively likely to get back, for very little relative gain.

You cant win. It is a machine designed and honed to steal your money.
hanksingle.bsky.social
The bookie *cannot lose*. They set their own terms, they can change them at any moment, and it all starts completely tilted - the safer it is for you, the less you can win. You can risk more to win more, but, and this is the point that isnt stressed, *the odds are against you*. Plainly.
hanksingle.bsky.social
And if you wanted to try and make money off a safe bet? That means investing a huge amount of capital into a relatively safe bet - and, again, if you hit, you get back a relatively small amount of money. But if you LOSE, the book (fan duel/vegas/whoever) takes your big pile of money.
hanksingle.bsky.social
Safe bets are safe because they are *likely* to come in. That means you get a very small proportional return. You lay 10 bucks to get 1 - so you risk 10 dollars to get 11. That's what the book loses - a dollar. But if the sure thing doesnt hit? You lose 10 dollars. It's not likely, but it happens.
hanksingle.bsky.social
And if they set a number, and LOTS of people take them up on it - so many people that it starts to seem like maybe a bad deal....they just change the deal for their end. They cut the return. You can still bet, you just cant win as much, bc the outcome looks more likely.
hanksingle.bsky.social
I think, also, it's key to understand, books dont give you predictions on the likelihood - their job is to settle on a number that will get you to give them money, one way or the other, that you dont get back. That's the business.
hanksingle.bsky.social
But you arent going to get the 40. Your bet wont come in. That's why they were willing to give you such favorable odds. And if you DO win, it will likely not be something you contextualize with all the other 'little' bets you've made, that didnt come through. You wont be up.
hanksingle.bsky.social
Long odds have great returns bc, more than likely, whatever you give the bookie (that's fan duel, or draft kings, or whatever, that's the bookie) they will get to keep. This should be obvious, but I dont think it is.

Like, you lay 10 to get 40, that's an incredible return.
hanksingle.bsky.social
Listening to people cheer, excitedly, for long odds, bc they've been trained to think about the pay out as something separate from both the odds, AND the potential loss, it seriously makes me nauseous.

Long odds AND safe bets, people dont seem to understand how they lose?
hanksingle.bsky.social
I hope I am around when gambling becomes illegal again, and the scholarly work is allowed to progress - the way that the industry, with the help of media and government, has battered away average Americans' common sense is terrifying to behold.

People DO NOT understand what they are doing.

This is bad comedy 'I realize the real world cost has been born almost exclusively by one side, but if you arent shedding the same amount of tears for the side dropping the bombs, you are a bigot with an agenda'

Is he thinking of how much less Cuba charges for their lung cancer treatment? I genuinely wonder if they just have chuds sifting through papers and attributing anything good they read to this admin, knowing no one will challenge them.

This is a power play obviously but also ICE absolutely cannot let cameras in that building. I am confident that the conditions inside would be a massive scandal, even for them. I cannot overemphasize enough how SMALL of a space it is to conduct operations at the scale we've seen.

Remember after 2016 when liberals kept trying to contrast "pragmatic moderate" Bernie with the "radical utopian" socialists in DSA?

And how they immediately pivoted and went back to war with Bernie during the 2020 primaries?

That's what they're doing with Mamdani now. They'll turn on him ASAP.

"30-year-old conservative lawyer and activist who is Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Special Counsel, which deals with federal employee whistleblower complaints and discrimination" cancelled his colleague's hotel room so she would be forced to stay with him.
www.politico.com/news/2025/10...
In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.

I spent the 05 draft screaming for someone to draft Sproles, I spent the 25 draft screaming for someone to draft Skattebo - at some point, draft experts and GMs are going to realize that 'unbelievable production in every conceivable way' is a great indicator at the college level for pro players.
