Librarians, teachers, and government workers have had to spend an increasing amount of their time and emotional bandwidth defending the work that they do, fighting against censorship efforts and dealing with the associated stress, harassment, and threats that come from fighting educational censorship. Meanwhile, they are separately dealing with an onslaught of AI slop and the top-down mandated AI-ification of their jobs; there are simply fewer and fewer hours to do what they actually want to be doing, which is helping patrons and students.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

for me Civ V is my lifelong fave. VI was good but religious warfare was really boring and the AIs did nothing but that end game. VII I played on release day, saw that it was about 75% finished and am waiting for the urge to go back to see if they're done yet lol. GalCiv looks cool tho! I will scope

I think a lot of my negative feelings stem from me never investing the time to truly get into EU, but idk maybe i'm too right brained. I would rather just have fun wasting my time in Civ (a game that EU players consider a child's toy lol)

I could never get into EU. The monetization model is so tacky and idk I didn’t have a lot of fun playing it. Probably have to give it 100+ hours before it clicks. I know dudes who live and die by it but they are always assholes irl 100% of the time lol

I truly love how functional and solid macOS is and my career depends on software like Logic and Live, BUT! my iMac just aged out of big OS updates (it's Intel) so what if for everything else I was in Pop!_OS?? They have an x86 kernel with AMD support...
