The recent cool factor and aesthetic appeal associated with sardines and hot dogs is a recession indicator. I’ve heard the idea that it’s the current counterpart to 2010’s moustache and bacon obsession, but it’s so clearly emblematic of struggle meals in a way that 🥸🥓 imagery wasn’t.

Although it was borderline traumatizing, I’m glad that I had the experience of being detained and bullied by US Customs and Border Protection back in 2013.

I’m sure it was merely a taste of what is happening now, but it’s a sour enough taste that I have no desire to try to visit the USA.

The White House is saying Canada misunderstood the tariffs as a trade war & it feels eerily similar to when men hit on women relentlessly- then act like they didn't mean it when women do not reciprocate. Huge "It was just a joke, it's not that serious" vibes. Canada did not misunderstand anything.

I recently developed a minor obsession with the already expensive, fresh-squeezed OJ from Farm Boy. I can barely justify the cost now. With 25% tariffs on oranges, we’ll be drinking water around here.

I refuse to give appliances the wifi password. Did I lose my roomba for 3 days when it got caught up in some floor laundry and I couldn’t find it? Yes. Will it ever have the opportunity to take me out? No.
