This week, the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns will play pre-season games in Macau. The excitement, and the stakes, could hardly be higher for those involved

reluctantly i have to admit that "and now, as usual, I have been proven right" is just an all time great turn of phrase

Don’t like the fact that you’re so much further than me but also haven’t done first sinner yet. Suggests I may be banging my head against that wall

Watching someone stride into a lift, displacing a pushchair, and then stride onto an escalator at the next floor is just so aggravating. It’s not a luxury transport option for you to take when you don’t feel like walking down the other end of the platform

By me this week - the happiest thing I've got to report of late, with a glorious trip over the summer to Montreal

somewhat annoying to spend lots of my time going "AGI and superintelligence sound puffy but they are terms of art that it's useful being precise with so that we all know what we're talking about" and then having Sam Altman say this in an interview stratechery.com/2025/an-inte...

it should be illegal to park a lime bike on a public pavement BUT it should be legal to park a lime bike anywhere a car can be parked

there's an optimal amount to blow on a single day's partying isn't there. if you give me £100 and tell me to have a good time I'll have more fun than if you give me £50 but if you give me £1000 I'd feel a lot of pressure to spend it all. Give me £10,000 and I'm drinking champagne with gold flakes

The French government lasted 13 hours and 47 minutes. We are ruled by children and we probably deserve it. I am disgusted.
