i dont really gaf bc in my eyes the first story was much worse and thats not why i play these games but if you want to understand why ppl were fine in game1 and rage at game2 you have to look at that promise. in 1 it was "escape and find your mom" and that does actually happen, at least

the second key fuck up there is that they marketed the game & built all the early hype around one idea ("lets kill X") and that is the story promise powering you thru the whole game and at the very last minute they swap it for smth else with no buildup to that Other idea and that never works.

IMO it was a much too premature point on the "conclusion" to stick the credits on, it feels rushed and not satisfying bc nothing is really happening and it just serves to usher you along to the real endgame of looping game content in the epilogue. but ppl associate closure with the credits

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

it's a sickness, and I say that as someone who writes fanfic now. "rooting" for a fictional character to succeed in life like they're a real person to the point where you get angry with the writer when they don't is demented and antisocial
