Been a long while, hasn't it?

The game was pretty fun, though very challenging. Especially when we checked out the Bonus Chapter.

As for the thumbnail, it was fun to draw Hideki and Nave dressed as the Helltaker. It was also fun to draw Azazel and Justice too. #HidekiArt
A piece of artwork that depicts Navegante (Who is dressed as the Helltaker) kicking a skeleton minion's head off, with the Curious Angel, Azazel taking notes on Nave's attack. Meanwhile, Hideki (Who is also dressed as the Helltaker) is proudly holding a plate of fresh pancakes (French Crepes too), with the Awesome Demon, Justice giving Hideki her approval.

The artwork was made for the thumbnail for AllStarGamersFTW's Showcase video on the 2020 puzzle game, Helltaker.

It's a very intriguing role as well. Especially with how everything was set up so he could take revenge against humanity because of what happened to Maria.

I also find it interesting with how the 3rd Sonic movie really took some cues from Gerald's more sinister portrayal from Sonic Adventure 2.

It's a pretty cool kiosk they had back then. They were found in Blockbuster in the U.S. Though I believe other stores in different regions also got this kiosk.

I do remember when Pokémon Snap came out on the Wii via Virtual Console, your photos can also be sent to the Wii Message Board.

To me, it felt like Sony's priorities with their franchises shifted so much, that they don't see the purpose of producing games that're made with smaller budgets that can give them more consistent releases in-between their AAA titles. Chasing the 'Live-Service' pie didn't help them either.

I remember one of the coolest things abour this game was that Nintendo partnered with specific retail stores to have these kiosks that allow you to take your copy of the game and use it and the kiosk to print out stickers of your in-game photos.
A section that discusses the Pokémon Snap Station kiosk and what it can do. The source of this screenshot is from the an issue from Nintendo Power that was published in June, 1999.

Indeed. It's why they can only hope that newcomers who jump into P4: Revival are able to get into it without hearing about the killer's identity.
hidekinishi7.bsky.social
Oh yeah. They definitely chose to not keep the killer's identity a secret, especially with the spinoffs like P4: Arena Ultimax and P4: Dancing All Night.

Likely because of Yooka-Replaylee, which is an upcoming remaster of the original game that sets out to streamline the game's mechanics and structure.

Heard quite a bit about it. The moat common I heard is that the Switch 2 version is gonna avoid the Game Key Cards and come out on a full cart.

Reading the article, it would make sense for working on the next mainline entry (especially the mentions of modern psychology & social interactions). But not so much when the next project's a remake of P4.

I think the only positive I've seen come out of BfBB: Rehydrated is that it would lead to Purple Lamp to develop 2 original Spongebob platformers after it.

If I were to pick a remake to get rid of, probably The Last of Us: Part I. I personally don't see the point of its existence.

Kinda sounds like they've really strayed away from their older days, where they had several developments teams under the Rockstar name that were capable of developing multiple games. And instead, shifted them into working on massive games like GTA & Red Dead these days.

I always figured that was the result of Sega trying to correct what people didn't like about Amy (most I heard was how her crush on Sonic was overexaggerated in Sonic Heroes & Battle) that were considered common complaints at the time. Combined with Sonic's friends being sidelined in the main games.
hidekinishi7.bsky.social
From what I've seen, those fans seem to hate Ian Flynn because his writing over-referencing past games, mixed with people not liking how he portrays certain characters (I've seen so much debates revolved around Amy).

more game remakes should pull a metroid zero mission and include an emulated version of the original game that unlocks out of nowhere when you beat the game

There's that. There was also when he said he's not gonna buy a Switch 2 at launch because of Nintendo's anti-consumer practices. Only for him to buy a Switch 2 at launch anyway because he really wanted to play and talk about the Switch port of Cyberpunk 2077.

I did give it a watch. All I got is that this is the most transparent that he's ever been regarding the whole situation. And that why he didn't give this kind of response sooner was because of his family's foundation being under investigation by the DoJ.

It would make the most sense for Underworld to come out eventually. Even if it's likely gonna be the PS2 version of the game, just like with Legend and Anniversary.

That's pretty cool. And understandable given they delisted the remastered Dreamcast titles on Steam.

Or that when Sonic X Shadow Generations came out, you can't buy the original 2011 release of Generations on its own anymore. And that you're only option is to purchase a Sonic game bundle on Steam.

It seems like Konami has been slowly trying to get back into the swing of things after all the mishaps they've done in the mid-2010s.

Their progress had a decent start with all the compilations of their classic library like Castlevania & Contra. And more so with reviving Metal Gear & Silent Hill.

I can imagine those who have played the original Yakuza 3 are definitely gonna be thrown off by these changes, as Rikiya is not the only character to get re-designed and the other ones I have seen for Kiwami 3 look so drastically different, it's like you're looking at different individuals.
hidekinishi7.bsky.social
Oh, yeah. I remember hearing they redesigned 3 of the game's major characters. My understanding is that they did it because they recasted their Japanese actors for Kiwami 3, and they have a standard practice to always redesign the characters to match the likenesses to their new Japanese actors.
hidekinishi7.bsky.social
Seems they recasted the character and opted to redesign him to match the likeness of his current actor. It's been a practice for this franchise since 2008.

I was first aware of it when they recasted Hamura in Judgment, after his original actor, Pierre Taki, was arrested for suspected cocaine use.
2 screenshots of Kyohei Hamura from Judgment. On the left side is Hamura's updated character model, matching the likeness of his new actor, Miou Tanaka. And on the right side is Hamura's previous character model, matching the likeness of his former actor, Pierre Taki.
hidekinishi7.bsky.social
Kinda reminds me of when Judgment had to recast and redesign a character because the original actor got charged with using cocaine.

I believe that event did set a precedent for this franchise, that characters will get re-designs to match the likeness of their new actors.
