That should be enough time to get things swapped over yeah.

If you’re a TO who has a streamed tournament, please dm me here or on Discord! I have a massive project I’m working on, and I need to ask you about something!

Reposts appreciated :)
How would a new organization go about obtaining established status? Would they be able to show 150+ unique on other platforms, or would they need to have someone with supporter tier host events until they achieve that?
Re: API key changes, will there be a period prior to this where I can generate a new API key (under IPL) before the old one expires? I want to ensure tools can smoothly transition. If so/when possible, where will I be able to go to generate a new key?
IPL doesn't run Riptide, that would be a Splatlans decision to allow or ban players. We just stream it.

the only good way to watch riptide is doing it stereophonically. one stream for each of your precious ears

(this post is best enjoyed using headphones)
I'm surrounded by shame apparently.
Literally me yesterday PMing people about offsite support for riptide.

Could use some money to cover for groceries this week so anything would be appreciated, whether it be commisions, just sending me money, or even a repost to spread the word ;w;
🚨 EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS 🚨

I just woke up so nothing to really show everything off in one pic but I just found out that my abusive father is kicking me and my mom out and I want to do my best to help raise the money for a new place

If you want, I can show you our verification system/ask if some verifiers are available to speak with you, I'm happy to help and I'm sure others are too. Shoot me a DM on discord (@ hoeenhero).
Its challenging and subjective though because a low level team's skill per month can vary quite a bit (or not, depends on the team). Lack of good data to work with and that led to us using a semi-random seeding system for Low Ink for example.
I don't typically verify for Low Ink but our process pretty much boils down to looking at recent results with context (as always, context is key) and maintaining knowledge about players and teams so we can compare them and determine when they have crossed the "skill line" (case-by-case basis).
All of the TOs that I've spoken with agree that the timing was horrible, and we agree SSC should be criticized at times, we do it too. Its just social media is really good at pushing everyone to one extreme (SSC is evil) or the other (SSC is perfect). Most people are actually between these points.
Top 6 from each region. Some of these opinions are more fluid than others. Gens are ranked with the favorite being on the left.

Gen 4: Empoleon, Porygon-Z, Gastrodon East Sea, Glaceon, Pachirisu, Dusknoir
Gen 5: Klinklang, Samaurott, Chandelure, Bisharp, Sawsbuck Summer, Galvantula
Gen 6: Greninja, Aegislash, Aurorus, Goodra, Sylveon, Delphox
Gen 7: Minior (green), Oranguru, Palosand, Toucannon, Exegutor-Alola, Primarina

Honestly the biggest thing we the TOs can improve is our communication to the public about this stuff. Obviously some things SSC can't tell us/we can't share. But I feel like ya'll would appreciate knowing that were talking to SSC, monitoring [situation here], and anything we CAN share. (3/3)
This is possible because there is a level of trust built up between TOs and SSC. We trust them to do the right thing based on past experiences with them, they trust us to not leak (eg: private ban list) and discuss our issues/concerns/suggestions with them in a reasonable manner. (2/3)
Honestly this is a great point to highlight. The signatory representatives have a direct line of communication with SSC. While we don't get case details to protect victims, we do use that line to ask questions to SSC. Typically if something seems wrong, your TOs are speaking with SSC about it. (1/3)
That's not saying people can't have their faults with SSC. But lets bring our concerns to TOs, so they, knowing the systems of SSC can work to either make that happen OR be transparent with the public on why that is not always possible. I hope SSC will have a way for feedback from the public as well
I don't know if other LANs have these teams, IPL has one because we stream various Splatoon LANs.
If your willing to lend a hand, that would be great. I'd rather not have to over-extend myself and the rest of the available staff, just ask @splatoonlily.bsky.social about how exhausting it can be when you have to be there the whole day or even weekend lol.

Send me questions if you have em.
Riptide is just around the corner, and we will be bringing you a slice of the action.

What you might not know is that we have a team working from home to help make that happen. This year, were short on staff so consider helping while watching.

scep took up the mantle of being a public figure taking action to make the community safer. and you know what happened to them? they got doxxed. they get attacked for any mistake.

it’s a proven fact that we can’t keep functioning without splat safety. it’s not sustainable. it’s hurting good people.
Just so we're clear: If SSC does not return, I will resign. Permanently.
