6 weeks ago my best friend did this to me for about the millionth time.

He was always miserable and begging for help, but if I tried, he would bite my head off.

I know he didn’t realize what he was doing, but I was walking on eggshells.

So I said I was taking some time.

Haven’t talked since. 🤷🏼‍♀️

On an unrelated note, I think people who respond to clumsy and imperfect expressions of sympathy and support with withering contempt have something wrong with them.
