Because they can control taxes, they can't control an EC vote
They can't "agree to the customs union", the country has to be admitted by the EU member states, some of whom would like nothing more than to give Starmer a bloody nose and ensure Farage gets in, so how do you think that is going to go?

I'm not "Labour", but even I can see that we can't just "rejoin". For a start we have to ask all 27 member states to let us back in.

If Starmer asked, do you maybe think that someone might not do Farage a favour and veto? Do you think the current Italian government might not like Farage for PM?

We already have a progressive tax system, and its banding causes issues for people. I would abolish separate rates corporate taxes, international tax treaties for multinationals and capital gains tax, all income should be taxed equally

I'd also suggest public ownership rather than renationalisation
