I'm not "Labour", but even I can see that we can't just "rejoin". For a start we have to ask all 27 member states to let us back in.

If Starmer asked, do you maybe think that someone might not do Farage a favour and veto? Do you think the current Italian government might not like Farage for PM?

We already have a progressive tax system, and its banding causes issues for people. I would abolish separate rates corporate taxes, international tax treaties for multinationals and capital gains tax, all income should be taxed equally

That's why it's so risky for Starmer.

The Government has to be careful, they can't ask the EU directly to rejoin, the EU will simply say no and the Government will have given itself a (self-inflicted) defeat.
