yesterday morning I was at a cabin in the mountains & there was a cold front coming in & I stood outside for 30 mins just listening to the wind roar from one area of the mountains to where we were & I almost cried bc it was so beautiful with the light sparkly snow!!!! anyways ME TOO!!!!

A GREAT way to celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day is to give resources to awesome Native orgs.

This is an old-but-new one (long story) that supports tribal schools in their language revitalization, food sovereignty, and other efforts.

Yeah, the evil is incomprehensible sometimes! While reading that book it’s almost hard to remember it’s non-fiction just because of the depravity of it all. Like, how can people be that evil in real life? But they are, which makes the tale even more of an important read!

Awareness is the first step, the next is to keep up with Indigenous news, to urge law enforcement & media to take these crimes seriously, to fight for justice as you would if the victims were white. Fight against the narrative that this is some sort of phenomenon, it is the fault of those in power.

I want to highlight this thread again because it’s a very important issue that people NEED to be aware of. If you’re unfamiliar with this issue, I suggest you look up the case of Emily Pike, and how little coverage, how little care such a horrendous crime against a Native child received.

Happy Indigenous People’s Day <3 We’re still here living and loving, rising against those powers that tried, still try, to erase us. Indigenous people give me hope for a better world. We had it, we can have it again, it’s in every single one of us.
