Mainstreaming should have taken years and cost £ms (in so far as it’s not a bad idea) It was done far too quickly and in context of cuts. The failure lies with the Scottish government.

That’s not true. You may not be engaged in the pretence that the system is working but in my experience it’s commonplace. Teachers lied to me directly about support being provided when it was not and lied about SQA regulations.

There are around 10k more children in poverty since KS took power. He tried to push 1m into poverty and is due to try again. 1/2 the last cabinet accepted Israeli derived funds. This is a Thatcherite government.

I’m sure you do. Note I said schools. In Scotland schools are failing to meet the needs of pupils with additional need on a huge scale. Schools pretending this isn’t the case is a failure of professionalism.

Ok re email. I’m sure some parents behave dreadfully. There needs to be some form of reset in the teacher parent relationship. Schools meeting children’s need rather than failing them would be central to this. Schools (in my experience) have become very defensive institutions.

Levelling CG tax to I tax would be a good start. Then address the tax avoidance loopholes and stop money going offshore untaxed. Other countries manage this much better.
