I think that takes some of the stress out of it. I’ll suggest the pleasure reader won’t be that bothered about chapter sizes. They don’t need to all be the same size. You could just work to “natural” narrative breaks. AI suggests 2500-5000 words.

Does it depend on the audience? If the primary readership is students and study is there an argument for smaller chunks of complex narrative? I’m retired and read for pleasure so I’m happy to just wander through the narrative.

It depends, but a forced chapter break against the flow irritates me more than a big chapter. TBH if the narrative works I don’t notice chapter size.

The post war settlement rested on state redistribution of wealth from rich to poor. The tories reversed that and maximised wealth accumulation by the wealthy. Labour carries on with the Tory project.

Tbh I concluded some time ago that Indy isn’t the snp goal. The goal is to get voted in again cause it’s really comfy in this government. (Take the credit when it works blame WM when it doesn’t.) And as Labour have gone Thatcherite it’ll work again.

R4 More or Less look at stats and it turns out comments on benefits/mobility cars at the Tory conference (KB?) were inaccurate. It’s notable that the media reporting conference didn’t fact check the claims.

I think most useless understates his awfulness. I’d give that to Boris by virtue of Covid mismanagement. KS tried to force an additional 1m people into poverty and he’s due to try this again. He’s supported a genocide. That’s more than useless.
