Retired from FE/HE, lefty , politically homeless, curious, foodie, 🍷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃 🖖🦮 no to Brexit. Pro indy often critical of SNP. Woke mind virus carrier. No DMs. Don’t ask for money. No profile I’ll not follow.
LBC JO’B is back selling facial recognition tech for the police. He’s comparing it to doorbell cameras. Bit of mocking civil liberty organisations objecting to it.

Scottish Health Sec very positive about SNHS on radio Scotland recently Audit Scotland report highly critical, again. We can expect a flurry of better than England from the party faithful.

So we are to pay more for electricity so corporations can invest more to make more money. Privatisation was to shift risk to corporations Ofgem passes it to us and lets corporations price gouge. This is central to the Tory poor to rich wealth transfer.

So WS says he’ll end corridor care by the end of this parliament. We currently have corridor care, nurses looking for work, and unemployed Drs.
December 3, 2025 at 1:34 PM
LBC JO’B talking over a colleague to defend RR he claims RR and the treasury did not mislead pre budget.

The Dr they had on next sounded like she was playing down the pressure in hospitals.
Health Sec on radio Scotland on the flu situation and hospital congestion. (This was predictable yet the SG reduced covid jab availability not giving it to front line staff.) It’s reported that there’s flu jab shortages NG states stocks are available. On line booking wasn’t working when I tried.

Re watched Night Manager it’s good drama about the illegal weapons trade. Is it a bit dated in a world where governments provide arms and support an actual genocide in full public view?
December 3, 2025 at 6:58 AM
BBC doing a piece on the SNHS being swamped by flu cases. I do wonder if restricting covid jab availability (including none for front line staff) was a wise move with a predictable flu bug on the way.
December 2, 2025 at 6:41 PM
LBC JO’B did a section on resident Drs and industrial action. I’m still thinking about the fact that we have unemployed Drs and corridor care. Labour need to fix that.
December 2, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Several things can be true at the same time. The bbc is being highly critical of Labour. And Labour have been dishonest on a range of policy issues and changes. The bbc is being more critical of Labour than they were of Tories. Labour are not cleaning up politics.

KS says the benefit system is the reason as many young people are not in work. He needs to take a serious look at the gig economy.
December 1, 2025 at 2:09 PM
Lots of coverage on did RR mislead the country/markets. OK. I’m more interested in why capital gains tax is so much lower than income tax. Level them and we can really address child poverty.
December 1, 2025 at 8:07 AM
Bit flurry on the media did RR lie pre budget. I’d rather see focus on why capital gains tax is as low.
November 30, 2025 at 10:32 AM
RR had described the budget as fiat. It’s isn’t. The tax system is very unfair and will be until capital gains tax is at the same level as income tax. It’s a budget of the wealthy protecting the wealthy.
November 29, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Woman on radio 5 saying employers are good people who don’t need legislation to be nice to people then notes the long waiting list for industrial tribunals. Then she complains about regulations.
November 28, 2025 at 9:34 AM
A couple of things are being confused on the radio today. Did labour say they protect workers from dismissal on day one? They did. They are not doing so. That’s not was this a sensible promise? It wasn’t but it was made. It looks a lot like lie to get power.
November 28, 2025 at 9:15 AM
LBC SF challenged Labour guy on budget and taxes but does not address the low levels of capital gains tax in relation to income tax.
November 27, 2025 at 1:14 PM
RR on radio Scotland saying an Indy majority at the next Scottish election will not trigger a referendum. But SR not asked what the SNP will do about this situation. We are failed by the media and the political class.
November 27, 2025 at 8:24 AM
In the budget RR takes a property based baby step to tax the wealthy. The serious step would have been levelling capital gains tax to income tax levels. Labour in name only.
November 27, 2025 at 7:51 AM
PMQT KS said free school meals lifted 100k children out of poverty. This a lie that needs challenged and if KS lied to the house …… it gets a bit Boris.
November 26, 2025 at 6:10 PM
NZ on LBC saying doing away with the child cap is both wrong and driven by hard left Labour. Leaving children in poverty is so very Tory.
November 26, 2025 at 2:41 PM
The motability scheme to exclude “luxury” cars RR has just announced. It’s just a nasty wee policy change to keep furious from little englander happy.
November 26, 2025 at 1:15 PM
RR just said ID cards will stop asylum seekers working. Another lie. The employers who do not currently check the right to work will not check IDs. The way to address this is to charge some CEOs.
November 26, 2025 at 1:09 PM
KS just said free school meals have lifted 100k children out of poverty I’ve never seen this claim justified and it looks very iffy. It may have alleviated the poverty that many children experience. Until justified I’ll assume it’s a lie.
