After moving to Canada, the difference is so obvious! We see school kids happily walking/biking to school in below freezing temperatures. 10 years living in the US, we would hardly see kids around. Unfortunately, same is happening in India as well!

Temperature extremes has a tremendous secondary consequence- that of extreme droughts. Since last 5 years or so, Central America is experiencing an accelerated loss of freshwater.
