This is an irresponsible way to spend $15B of taxpayer money.
We could likely slice off a few lanes and off ramps. Then we can also save money/ time applying for reconnecting communities grant money to fix the second it is done.

Earlier today WSDOT Secretary Julie Meredith was asked about the leaked cost estimates on the Interstate Bridge Replacement and her response was...not incredibly encouraging.

My house is next to I-5 where the ship canal bridge is down two lanes. Traffic is backing up way into the neighborhood with people driving alone and looking absolutely miserable. My daughter and I were counting the # of people in the back up and it was really only a handful. 13 on one block.
