The world was less ironic before Kissinger.

They awarded Winston Churchill the Literature prize, because Peace was too much of a stretch.

It was better in context as a response to a thread on the Nobel Prize for literature, but the OP seems to have disowned it.

The one with the pigs and the profit is unfair as a puzzle but interesting. Also it has pigs.

I try only to click on or watch things on FB if they have kangaroos in, and with a little encouragement to the algorithm and self-discipline I have it trained to serve an almost pure stream of soothing marsupial content. No dead children at all.

OED has one word and prigh as the preferred pronunciation on both sides of the Atlantic since the early C19.

OED says primmer was current in British English till the early 19th century, so rather before Kennedy's Shorter Latin Primer etc. It gives prighmer as the preferred modern pronunciation in both Br & US English, for all senses except in typography and the infant class in New Zealand schools. So ner.

An urban bus route can carry far more people than could use the bus lane by bicycle. Imagine 90 bikes crossing a junction in a single phase of the lights, let alone 180 or 270. Cyclists would give up in disgust and take the bus instead. The equilibrium still has lots of buses.

Presence of haunting or apparitions is not covered in the English Housing Survey, in either the physical or interview datasets, so it cannot be all that important to MHCLG. Maybe DCMS?

At the point of his writing that poem, yes.

I was disappointed that he then accidentally put on the shirt from one pair with the trousers of the other. Any child of mine should have done it deliberately.

L, when I shared my insight just now, proved you wrong by pulling a 'quadruple of pyjamas' from under his pillow, where for some reason he had two half-worn pairs. Which, as he observed, makes six.

That might be the full answer when the questioner is objecting to your appropration of the issue - why not let them speak for themselves?
htfb.bsky.social
I'm fairly sure Martin Niemöller would have said the same.

A pair of pyjamas includes a pair of pyjama trousers, as well as one pyjama shirt, which actually makes three pyjamas.

You need a numberplate to get one, but does it need to belong to a car?

Does the minimum cost to park exceed the bus fare? If not, the rational thing is to buy your bus ticket at the pay & display machine.
