YES LIKE Val defs has a sadist streak I think but it doesn't seem like it's ever directed at Angel the way it is for, say, the lowest earners. When Val tortures Angel it's not just because he "enjoys it", it's a punishment so in his eyes it's "valid" and he "has to do it". He wouldn't just ask Vox
