It’s hard to buy into the drama when it looks like an episode of “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.”

For the record I absolutely do have periods, there’s just none of the bleeding bit so it’s kinda irrelevant in those situations.

Having the nurse ask when your last menstrual cycle was and having to explain why you don’t get periods is somehow even more awkward when you’re both trans women.

Orange is my favorite color and I really like donuts, I think it’s a conspiracy.

The outside of this building had like brown clapboard paneling and all the trim on the windows and doors was painted that same color orange. They only had 2 locations in Rke and they both closed within 5 years.

There used to be a donut place in Roanoke that was some kind of local chain that only lasted a few years that had that color scheme. This orange and purple were their colors. Maybe they had locations elsewhere?

Deloitte is the gold standard in audits, if they’re just churning out AI slop for clients this large we are well and truly cooked.

If you’re going to make me do 3 people jobs there’s only so long I’m going to do it without making 3 times the money. Especially if you’re paying other people to do those jobs and I still have to do it for them anyway.

This has been me at just about every job I’ve worked. I eventually get fed up and leave then and throw the whole place into chaos.

My mom is the same way, she’s in her ‘60’s with cancer and the entire reason where she works can stay in business. She took over my job when I got fed up and quit.

These are jeans I would consider to have deep pockets for women’s jeans btw. We get ripped off so hard in the pocket game.

I’ve been wearing legging since spring and just put on my jeans for the first time and had an instant sad face about how shallow the pockets are. I had forgotten. :(

Anyway, enough rambling. I miss my friend I haven’t heard from in 20 years. I hope she’s doing great despite her shithead family. I miss us both driving to DC to hang out. Both of us still terrified to not be in boy mode lol.

I had so many doctors and endocrinologists, even at big universities who were happy to take me as a new patient until I told them why I needed to be seen, then suddenly they weren’t accepting new patients. Looking at you UVA.

I went back into the closet a few years later, but even when I finally fully transitioned in 2011 you still had to have a therapist letter to get hormones if you found a doctor who would help and fee would. I had to move across the state so I had access to a doctor to get HRT.

Coming out back then it was like you were an alien. Even medical staff outside of a few places in the country couldn’t or wouldn’t help. I came out to my doctor and while sympathetic he couldn’t help. Almost all of us did black market DIY HRT because that’s almost all there was available in the US.

As bad as things can be for trans people now, as someone who started down this road in 2002 I can tell you it used to be much harder.

My friend and I both went stealth because we had to and from my sleuthing I gather she still is. I also gather her family didn’t handle her transition well.

She usually does lol.

The color I couldn’t stand is Fiesta Red. I love it on some guitars and on others I can’t cope with it. I used to have a red Epiphone Tele that was red that was gorgeous and I’ve been chasing that dragon ever since.

Tried mint on this and didn’t like it, the white was too bright, parchment is👌tho.
