The cover for Book 1 of "Glowing Hearts," an ongoing webcomic that I, Penelope Merch-Lehman, am making. It's like a harem comedy anime, but instead it's poly because that fixes everything.

Shelley, the main character of book 1 is a cute trans weirdo who is a compulsive joke-maker. I have recently been informed that she is likely on the autism spectrum, and has ptsd and borderline personality disorder. This was news to me!

The secondary protagonist is Tisl Ashwood. She's brash, bold, and incredibly insecure. She's a shapeshifter, so she mostly looks like that on purpose, because why wouldn't you?

The tertiary protagonist is Wistare Coronatus, a recently deposed princess of an underground kingdom of gopher people. She's haughty and rude, but well-meaning. She's used to asking for things her way, and not getting it. She's pushing 50, amongst other things.

An establishing shot of a Chinese Restaurant and an Indian Restaurant. The Shanghai Inn is an actual restaurant in Chicago, near the Ravenswood brown line stop. Their Mongolian Beef rules. As far as I know you can't rent a room there.
Arena and Gates are chatting about what a date actually is. They are both dressed in fancy garb. Arena is wearing a black headband, a fire flower necklace, and a slinky blue-green dress to match her eyes, while Gates is wearing a shiny purple dress, a collar and pigtails. She feels weird about putting her hair up like this, but knows it's a thing for Arena so she's dealing with it.

Arena is having the approach to dating explained to her while eating soup. Gates has already finished most of hers.

Gates talks about proposing and being told to fuck off, which transitions to a flashback. In the flashback, a pre-transition Gates is proposing to Lori Pointilleux, a rabbit librarian, dressed in a tight, shiny blue dress. The "film quality" is atrocious compared to anything we've seen thus far.

I've always read that Zelda is an adventure game, and I'm relatively sure that "Adventure" games aren't named that because you GO on an adventure, they're named after the *game* Adventure.

It's truly wild how people think it's socially acceptable to pressure you to drink? Like, more than any other substance, people will consider you a bummer if you don't do this specific thing. Like, even if you had to stop drinking for a medication? It's absurd.

Sassy is with her first husband in a record store. She is 24. She's wearing a Star Trek TNG engineering t-shirt, has a side-shave, and small light blue gym shorts. She has more of a cat's eye style of glasses. She is excited to show her husband a record.

Marguff has decided that he dislikes Latin Freestyle, a genre that only lasted for a short period of time but has some true bangers. He shits on the record. In the last panel it is revealed that this group's lead singer is Sassy's mother. It is also haphazardly revealed that Sassy's parents were not married when she was born, which, honestly fuck you if that matters to you.
It is strongly implied that this is the event that precipitated their divorce.

The thing about taking your time with your comic, is that AEW didn't exist when I started making my comic. I had an entire character arc with Vanessa planned, and it turns out that I had inadvertently created AFAB nonbinary Eddie Kingston.

A pointless exercise in irritation: Some people still label the 4th and 6th Final Fantasies as 2 and 3, despite the fact that this was corrected 25 years ago, so here is a chart for the Final Fantasy games by release order in Japan and the US.

I've decided to start to post dirtier stuff to this account.

An off-panel voice wryly asks Arena, Sassy and Gates if they have just had sex. They answer in silly ways, because they all have cum-brain. In the second panel, a big glob of semen falls out of Sassy and makes a gross sound on the floor. In the final panel, Gates is sleeping on her feet, Sassy is laughing, and Arena claims that it could be ANYTHING.
This is a journal comic, if we're being totally honest.
